About
About Stol (1946-2022)
As a fiery woman, Eleonora Stol always stood for expressing her true colours as an empowered artist. Though she rarely described her art in words - her art spoke for itself. As a pioneering paintress, she was among the first of her kind; boldly expressing bright colors and raw, instinctive forms.
Dancing around her canvas, she would caress and strike it with her magical brush, capturing movement, emotion and energy. Stol saw the hidden beauty of life in bright colors, where others were experimenting with 50 shades of grey. To her, life was a celebration.
She even wished for her relatives and friends to dance at her funeral. And so they did. From above, she smiles - proud of the legacy she left behind, now here for the world to enjoy.

Artistic journey
To encounter the work of Eleonora Stol, is to stand before an unexplicable miracle of life. Her canvases don’t merely exist - they breathe. Stol was never a follower of trends or schools; she was an instinctive creator, moved by passion and inspiration that refused to be tamed.
Stol's creations defied categorization. Her work was not something she painted - it was something she lived through. Where others sought form and control, Stol moved freely, often literally dancing around the canvas, allowing her brush to strike, caress and respond to the pulse of the moment.
There is a primal honesty in her compositions - as though it bypassed the intellect and went straight into pigment. Her paintings are not declarations, but invitations: into joy, into chaos, into the subtle, vibrating spaces that exist behind the surface of daily life.
Stol often remarked that life is a celebration. That ethos radiates through her work. Even in its wildest abstractions, there is tenderness - a belief of beauty, in movement, in the unseen.
Today Stol’s legacy stands as a testament to the power of living - and painting - unapologetically. She leaves behind not just a body of work, but a vision: of art as an instinct, of colour as the truth, of life as something to be fully, fiercely felt.

Mission
Eleonora Stol painted to bring colors in the lives of people. She wanted to touch hearts with her art and uplift. Telling visual stories about tango, empowered women, romanticism and love.
Vision
Eleonora wanted her art to be spread all over the world to uplift and bring colour into homes, musea, events and exhibitions. After Stol passed away, her daughter and grandson brought life to this vision. Intending to share Stol's art with the people that feel touched and appreciate it fully.
